Haunted Manor
Haunted Manor - Purpose
Created in Spring 2021, Haunted Manor is a first-person horror/puzzle game. Made by Benjamin Friedman and Charlotte Royal, this project was pitched as a way for us to collaborate together on a game that would showcase skills that each of us wanted to flex. While we have similar backgrounds in level design, I lead the programming side of the project while she lead the environment art and narrative for the project.
The gameplay focuses on environmental storytelling and horror experience, with puzzle elements to guide the player through the environment into scripted scenes and moments. For the player to "complete" the game, they must leave through the locked front doors of the manor, but in order to do that, they must delve into the belly of the beast...
