Unity, First Person Horror/Puzzle

Spring 2021, Level Design, Game Design, Programming

A puzzle game set within an horror environment, leveraging lighting, sound effects, and gameplay mechanics to set tone.

Uses the assets sources from Creative Common licenses and previous project materials.

A Capstone of skills gained since starting in Game Design as a student and hobbyist.

Cultist Castle

Unreal, First Person Shooter

Fall 2019, Level Design

Focuses on exploration and combat. Semi-linear with guided goal setting. Player fights against waves of enemies, and a final boss.

Uses the Unreal Marketplace FPS Toolkit, and Epic Games free asset packs.

Emphasis on visual vistas, lighting, and elevation.

Hotel California

Unreal, First Person Simulation

Fall 2019, Level Design

Focuses on narrative and exploration. Linear horror experience. Player escapes from a dream-like hotel, turned nightmare.

Uses Epic Games free asset packs. Scripted events made using Unreal Blueprints system.

Emphasis on lighting, sound, and horror experience.

Drosera

Unity, Isometric Dungeon Crawler

Fall 2020, Level Design Lead

Large team project (40 members). I lead the Level Design team in developing modular, proceduraly generated rooms.

Built entirely from scratch in Unity, utilizing a wide range of team departments: programming, environment art, etc.

Emphasis on modularity, game feel, and flow.
